If you’d prefer to speak with us, the best way to reach us is by sending a text message requesting a call. As we spend most of our time in treatment with clients, the clinic phone is often on silent. We truly appreciate your understanding, please text us, and we’ll call you back as soon as we can.
-
We have a waitlist, please provide us with as much as info as possible on this waitlist form.
-
When you book with us for the first time, you are required to fill out the client intake form so we can better understand your needs. Please arrive 10 minutes early to allow time for this.
In preparation for your first appointment, where possible you should avoid coffee. Coffee (and other caffeinated drinks) can make the body slightly dehydrated and stimulate the nervous system, which is the opposite of what we want in manual lymphatic drainage.
We recommend avoiding coffee or caffeinated drinks before your treatment. Staying well-hydrated and relaxed will help you get the best results from your session.
Eating before your session If you need to eat before your appointment, we recommend having only a light meal. Because we massage the abdominal area, a heavy meal may
cause discomfort or cramping during your treatment. Staying comfortable helps you get the best results from your session.
-
Parking in Mona Vale can sometimes be tricky as it has become a busy commercial centre, but there are several options:
Street parking: 1-hour and 2-hour spots are available around the area.
Aldi car park (across the road): Paid parking available.
Council Car Park – Bungan Lane (multi-level): Offers 30 minutes, 3 hours, and 8 hours of free parking. (Please note: it’s Bungan Lane, not Bungan Street.)
Woolworths (about 2 blocks away): 3 hours of free parking.
-
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before your appointment.
Late cancellations: 50% of your deposit will be forfeited.

You can easily reschedule your appointment online.

LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE & WELLNESS
-
Your lymphatic system is like your body’s natural cleansing and drainage network. It removes waste, toxins, and excess fluid while also supporting your immune system to fight infections. When it’s working well, you feel lighter, healthier, and more energised. When it’s sluggish, you might notice swelling, fatigue, or slower healing. Manual Lymphatic Drainage helps keep it flowing and balanced.
-
Angel Touch® is our signature method, combining Brazilian and Australian lymphatic drainage with body sculpting techniques. This unique approach helps reduce fluid retention, support detoxification, improve circulation, and leave you feeling lighter, more defined, and energised.
Can lymphatic drainage help me lose weight?
Lymphatic drainage is not a weight-loss treatment on its own, but it can support your journey. It helps to:
Reduce fluid retention and bloating
Eliminate toxins
Improve circulation
Smooth and enhance the appearance of cellulite
When combined with a healthy diet, regular movement, and good hydration, lymphatic drainage can make you feel lighter, more energised, and help your body look more sculpted.
-
This depends on your goals. Some clients notice results after just one session, while others choose regular treatments to support ongoing wellbeing, post-operative recovery, or body contouring.
Results vary — outcomes depend on lifestyle, individual physiology, and treatment frequency.
-
There are some contraindications, Manual lymphatic drainage is typically gentle and safe for many people, but it isn’t suitable for everyone. If you have any of the following conditions, please consult your practitioner before booking:
Common contraindications (seek medical advice if unsure)
Acute infections or fever
Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or recent blood clots
Acute heart failure or congestive heart conditions
Severe, untreated kidney or liver disease
Acute cancer or certain cancer treatments (discuss with your oncologist or therapist)
Abdominal hernias or recent abdominal surgery (specialist clearance may be needed for belly work)
Uncontrolled high blood pressure or recent cardiovascular events (e.g., heart attack)
Severe kidney impairment or edema with unknown cause
Infectious skin conditions or open wounds in the area to be treated
So it’s important to complete the client intake form with full health information. Most people can enjoy lymphatic drainage, including those recovering from surgery or childbirth.
-
Yes. Manual Lymphatic Drainage is highly recommended after surgery as it:
Reduces swelling and fluid build-up
Minimises bruising
Softens scar tissue
Eases discomfort
Supports and protects your surgical results
For the best recovery, we encourage you to book your post-operative massages in advance so your treatments are in place when you need them most.
-
The timing depends on your procedure and your surgeon’s advice, but in most cases, lymphatic drainage can begin within the first week after surgery once your surgeon gives approval.
Starting early helps:
Reduce swelling and discomfort
Prevent fluid build-up and fibrosis (hardening under the skin)
Speed up your recovery process
Every body and surgery is different, so we always recommend checking with your surgeon before booking your first session.
Post-Op Recovery Checklist Give your body the best chance to heal smoothly after surgery with these simple steps:
Book your post-op massages in advance so your recovery care is ready when you need it.
Stay hydrated — water supports lymph flow and healing.
Follow your surgeon’s advice about rest, movement, and wound care.
Wear your compression garment (if prescribed) as directed.
Gentle movement (like slow walking) can help circulation and reduce stiffness.
Schedule your Manual Lymphatic Drainage sessions to reduce swelling, ease discomfort, and protect your results.
-
Your body needs extra nourishment to heal. Focus on balanced meals rich in:
Protein (chicken, fish, eggs, beans) to support tissue repair
Healthy fats (avocado, olive oil, nuts) to reduce inflammation
Carbohydrates (whole grains, fruits, vegetables) for energy
If you don’t feel like eating heavy meals, smoothies with fruit, oats, honey, and milk can be a gentle way to get important nutrients. Staying hydrated is just as important — water helps your body recover faster.
-
Small scars after surgery are normal. Always follow your surgeon’s advice first, especially in the early stages of healing. Once your wounds have closed and your surgeon confirms it’s safe, you may support your scar healing by:
Keeping the area clean and moisturised with gentle, surgeon-approved products.
Scar creams or oils (like silicone gel or vitamin E) may help soften and reduce scar appearance over time.
Gentle massage (once healed and approved by your surgeon) can improve flexibility and help prevent tightness around the scar tissue.
Protecting scars from the sun — new scar tissue is sensitive, and sun exposure can cause darkening. Use sunscreen or keep the area covered.
Patience — scars usually fade gradually, often becoming lighter and less noticeable with time.
Remember: every body heals differently, and it can take months for scars to fully settle. Consistency and care make the difference.
For post-operative skincare products, we recommend exploring Exquisite Bodies (@exquisite.bodies). Use our exclusive code JAMIA10 for 10% off your order.
-
Comfort and protection are key while your body is healing. To avoid putting pressure on the operated areas:
Use supportive pillows to keep your body in a safe, comfortable position.
Sleeping on your back with your upper body slightly elevated (using pillows or a wedge) often helps reduce swelling and makes breathing easier.
If side-sleeping is permitted by your surgeon, place a pillow between your knees for extra support.
Practise gentle movement when changing positions to avoid straining the surgical site.
Always follow your surgeon’s guidance, as recommendations may vary depending on the procedure you’ve had.
-
It’s best to avoid alcohol for at least one week before and two weeks after surgery.
During recovery, alcohol can:
Thin the blood, increasing the risk of bleeding and bruising
Increase swelling and fluid retention
Slow down healing by interfering with how your body repairs tissue
Affect your immune system, making it harder to fight infection
Interact with pain medication or antibiotics, reducing their effectiveness or causing side effects
Avoiding alcohol completely during this time gives your body the best chance to heal smoothly and protect your surgical results.
-
Yes. For the best recovery and to protect your results, it’s important to avoid both.
Cigarettes and nicotine products reduce blood flow, slow down healing, and increase the risk of complications like infection, poor scarring, and delayed recovery.
Illicit drugs can interfere with anaesthesia and pain medications, increase bleeding risks, and place extra stress on your heart, lungs, and immune system.
Avoiding these substances before and after surgery gives your body the best chance to heal smoothly and achieve the results you’re hoping for.
-
Most surgeons recommend waiting around 6 weeks before returning to regular exercise. Light walking is usually encouraged earlier, as it helps circulation, reduces swelling, and supports recovery.
Keep in mind:
Start slowly, and increase activity gradually.
Avoid heavy lifting, high-impact workouts, or intense core exercises until cleared by your surgeon.
Always listen to your body — pain, swelling, or discomfort are signs to slow down.
Your surgeon’s advice should always come first, as timing may vary depending on the type of surgery.
